Welcome to the Illiana Garden Pond Walk 2007
Munster, Indiana
Pond #1
This corner lot in town consists of four ponds and a double pondless waterfall, built in 2007. The first pond, built in 1993, is a 125 gallon preformed pond, raised and surrounded by a garden wall with a Laguna pump. The 2nd is a 225 gallon preformed turtle pond. The turtles grew into this pond in 2003. It's unique design offers a pleasant deviation from the ordinary. The third, built in 1999, is a 14' by 16' heart-shaped pond with a 4' waterfall and sits just off the deck. The fourth is an oval 14' by 26' pond, built in 2000. This pond is complete with a 16' foot bridge, perfect for dangling toes in the refreshing water after a hot day. Contained in ponds 3 & 4 (Aquascape design systems) are several varieties of water plants, including lilies and irises. The ponds are home to numerous Koi and fancy goldfish, as well as a variety of other wildlife. Landscape lighting enhances the atmosphere of this mini paradise as you sit on the deck or patio and listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall. (Ponds built and maintained by Cutters Edge Inc.)
